YMT S53

YMT S53 cold work tool steel is a medium chromium alloy air-cooled hardened tool steel, which provides good wear resistance and strong comprehensive properties. YMT S53 mainly supplies bars for cold work mold applications. YMT S53 has good comprehensive properties of wear resistance and toughness, high hardness, high dimensional stability and suitable for nitriding, which far surpass other cold work steel grades.

YMT S53 is a quality tool steel with higher wear resistance and higher toughness. Compared with the traditional 1.2379 (D2), it has higher stiffness resistance, better hardenability, and higher hardness and toughness properties.
